However, as we cross the mid-way point to achieve the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals, we are increasingly off track in our efforts to build a more sustainable and fairer future.
The lasting socio-economic consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, persisting conflicts and the raging triple planetary crisis of climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution are affecting the lives of millions of people, leading to increased inequalities and consequences on the most vulnerable.
