The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Dmytro Kuleba, Foreign Minister of Ukraine.
On the second anniversary of Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Secretary-General and the Foreign Minister discussed the war’s continuing devastating impact on civilians and critical infrastructure. The Secretary-General underlined the UN’s ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable communities.
The Secretary-General reiterated the UN’s full commitment to the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, within its internationally recognized borders.
The Secretary-General also underlined UN’s support towards a just and lasting peace in line with the UN Charter, international law, and relevant UN General Assembly Resolutions.
