The Briefing is prepared by the Global Economic Monitoring Branch of UN/DESA’s Economic Analysis and Policy Division. It is published on the first business day of the month.

A new web portal that showcases UN DESA’s response to the global COVID-19 pandemic has been launched. The portal will shine a light on the cutting-edge analysis and policy advice in those areas where UN DESA’s voice is critical to addressing this global crisis. The portal will feature a series of policy briefs on COVID-19, which draw on unique expertise from around the Department. The first set of these policy briefs will be launched on 1 April 2020.
