This event brings together a diverse group of stakeholders engaged in food, nutrition, and health issues within the context of international development.
Across every corner of the world, over two billion individuals grapple with micronutrient deficiencies, while diet-related non-communicable diseases cast a formidable shadow, jeopardizing lives and well-being.
A healthy diet is a cornerstone in building resilient and sustainable food systems. This conference, organised by the Belgian Federal Public Service of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, the Directorate-General for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and Ghent University, is a collective effort to align with the Sustainable Development Goals, offering a unique opportunity to address interconnected global challenges.
The anticipated outcome is not just knowledge but actionable insights—a roadmap towards ensuring healthy diets and better nutrition for all.
