One month on, 70% of the Gaza population has been displaced.
No place is safe in Gaza. 66 people have been killed & 540 injured sheltering in 50 UNRWA installations this past month. People sheltering under the UN flag- seeking safety in UNRWA schools- were killed in places that should be protected under International Humanitarian Law.
We must find a way to hold on to our common humanity.
António Guterres, UN Secretary-General

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is getting worse by the day. Severe water shortages now raise concerns of dehydration and waterborne diseases. Water facilities must be protected and fuel, as well as more water, must urgently be allowed in. (OCHA oPt)
The nightmare in Gaza is more than a humanitarian crisis.
It is a crisis of humanity.
António Guterres, UN Secretary-General
Between the start of the crisis on 7 October and 20 October, approximately 2,100 commercial trucks should have reached Gaza through the Rafah border crossing, but none did. Since 21 October, the daily average number of confirmed trucks that crossed through Rafah is less than 19 per cent what it used to be before the crisis. 476 trucks have crossed as of 6 November.
UNRWA reports on average, one child is killed and two children are injured every ten minutes during the war in Gaza.
With the deepening Israel-Palestine crisis about to enter its second month, a dozen UN agencies have reiterated urgent appeals for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire to allow more lifesaving aid into Gaza.
