To celebrate Human Rights Day 2016, the United Nations, the European Union and Bozar invited you to a special Human Rights Day event.
You joined us for a Human Rights Day celebration, full of uplifting messages and possibilities for action by individuals in defence of human rights. We encouraged everyone to stand up for the rights of others. The evening will include a performance by Refugees got Talent as well as interactive talks on social inclusion from Duo for a Job and Dare to be Grey.
Where, after all, do universal human rights begin? In small places, close to home – so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any maps of the world. […] Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere. Without concerted citizen action to uphold them close to home, we shall look in vain for progress in the larger world.
