On the occasion of the International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights – screening of ‘Filmmaking for Peace-building’ – Joint Pakistani-Afghan documentaries on human rights.
« Bahaali », « Sound of Silence » and « Transgender in Pakistan » are three documentaries produced by Afghani and Pakistani filmmakers who lived and worked together as part of a training programme on human rights and peace-building.
The documentaries were made by eight Pakistani and Afghan directors who took part in a training program on human rights and peace-building organized in Pakistan by the United Nations Information Centre in Islamabad and the Swiss Embassy in Pakistan, in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence in Journalism in Karachi, the Fondation Hirondelle and the International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights.
