Ciné-ONU screening of “Nadia”

The film will be followed by a panel discussion, in the presence of the film’s director, Anissa Bonnefont and other speakers to be announced shortly.

​​​​​​​SYNOPSIS: How do you rebuild yourself after losing your father and homeland at the age of 8? Nadia Nadim, whose dad was killed by the Taliban in 2000, did just that thanks to her passion for football. She became a striker on the national team of her adoptive country, Denmark, and Paris-Saint-Germain. Having achieved football stardom, Nadia wants to return to Afghanistan to find out more about her father’s fate.

Anissa Bonnefont was born in Paris in 1984. After studying theatre in New York, she took her first steps as a director and producer with the film Wonder Boy. She is currently writing her next film, an adaptation of Jim’s comic book One Night in Rome.

A documentary by Anissa Bonnefont, France. The film is in English, French, Danish, Dari/Farsi with subtitles in English. Runtime: 90 minutes.
