To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the United Nations screened: #SalePute.
73% of women in the world have suffered cyber violence. Through their film, ‘#Salepute’, journalists Florence Hainaut and Myriam Leroy tell viewers an international story of cyber harassment that is both intimate and political. From Finland to Switzerland through Austria, France and Germany, the film focuses on the personal and societal consequences of online misogyny and explores individual and collective responses to such abuse.
