The United Nations system produces and maintains a series of apps. Mobile apps have been used by the UN for over a decade and serve a variety of roles. They are used to disseminate news and information to the general public, to promote campaigns and topics of importance to the organisation, as well as specialist apps and country/regional mission apps.
Overall, the system has over 50 mobile apps available to the general public. Far more if you take into account apps used by staff and offices around the world.
Some featured apps include the UN News Centre’s mobile app, keeping people around the world connected with news from the organisation. Or the SDGs in Action apps which allow you to get all the information you need on the Global Goals. Finally, keep the key UN documents, such as the Charter of the UN or the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at hand with dedicated apps.
